Shyasia, our sales contact, was professional, responsive, and thorough from the very first call. Marlon, the move estimator, provided a fair and accurate estimate with no surprises, which we truly appreciated. Diane in the office was always helpful and on top of every detail. Dennis, our move coordinator, kept everything running seamlessly and made sure all logistics were handled perfectly. And Orlando, our team lead, was exceptional as he and his crew treated our belongings with incredible care during both the move out and the move in.

Moving was fast and easy but, this company will try to add on extra charges to your estimated bill. We wrapped most of our stuff in plastic and cardboard and made it easy for movers to come in and move stuff but they still tried to charge us extra for transportion time even though the move was done in less then the estimated time. They also didn't bring any moving blankets for my stuff even though the contract said they would which lead to scratches on one our bed frames.

We’ve moved many, many times over the last 25+ years, including coast to coast (CA - NY). When we did our big move 22 years ago from CA to NY, we used Bekins and were so happy with the entire process. We’ve moved 3 times in NY alone, since then and wanted a similar experience to Bekins. Our recent move was very complicated. From a house in NY to a small apartment while waiting for our new home to be built. The balance of our things went to storage. Then we asked for the apartment stuff to be picked up and combined with the stuff in storage and all moved to Florida (8 months later).

Maffucci handled everything, at a reasonable price and everything arrived when promised and in perfect shape. The team in NY packed everything. The team that unloaded in Florida assembled the furniture for us and placed everything in the locations we needed.

As I said, very complicated, but Mafucci made it smooth!!!

Maffucci Moving Company did a great job with our move from NY to Florida. On the day of the load in of all of our belongings they were prompt and came ably prepared with 5 men, all of whom worked well together. They were organized, professional, and took good care in handling our possessions. The driver of the truck that brought our things to Florida called 3 days in advance of the delivery, more than enough time for us to prepare. Upon arrival, the 4 men worked well together, again were very organized, and made the load off go very well. I could not be happier with their service. I hired Maffucci Moving and Storage after interviewing 3 other companies. I was moving from my house where I had lived for 34 years to the Belmont Eastview Apartments. I found Mr. Paul Schwartz who came to the house to do the estimate (with his computer) and printed out the estimate on the spot. He was very professional. The movers arrived on time and did an wonderful job. They placed all the furniture exactly where I wanted it. Nothing was damaged. They did all that in less time then had been projected. They did an excellent job. All the staff (Paul, Diane, Debbie, Brenda, Tamika and the movers) at Maffucci were great. Also, since they did the move in less time then had projected the actual bill was less than the estimate.

I want to congratulate all of you for assembling such an outstanding group of Workers at the Maffucci Moving & Storage. Everyone, from the Moving Coordinator, Wearhouse Manager, and other Managers, Cost Estimator, and Truck Crew, are exceptional and professional!! No one is afraid of rolling up their sleeves, getting their hands dirty including lending a hand to anyone. This team of workers operate as a well-oiled machine and well-trained military platoon with precision. Everyone was welcoming, personal, friendly, helpful, accepted direction without opposition, and performed multiple jobs when necessary. From our point of view, I strongly recommend keeping this group of people together. They are all Keepers.

We spent the most time with Elmer, Dario, Juan, and Daniel. They made us feel very comfortable, calm, and pleased. They are all very polite and personnel. But what was really amazing is that they never took a break. They were like machines and knew what everyone else were thinking without speaking. They worked very quietly and very carefully when using the hand trucks in the house with other furniture no matter how tight the space was. They handled all boxes, bins, paintings, and furniture very carefully and professionally. Elmer, Juan, and Daniel moved everything so carefully with precision. Dario, the truck driver and truck packer did an amazing job packing the truck so meticulously. Keep this group of workers together.

My family used this company back in October. They initially did a great job, but once we started to unpack, precious items were missing. When we realized this, we called and the owner told us to call the police and leave a report with them instead of saying he would talk to his guys and look into the situation on his part. I never write reviews, but it's important for me to inform and warn others about Maffucci Movers. I used them to move my belongings as well as rented their storage units for a few months and when I was ready to have my items delivered to my new home, 1/4 of my glasses, mirrors and plates were all broken.
When I called them about it, the owners were extremely rude and didn't take any accountability. The boxes must have been stored improperly by placing the bigger and heavier boxes on top of my fragile items. The movers also damages my wall by the front door and we noticed that most of my boxes were already smashed in and damages.

Really great crew! Pat, Junior, John, Orlando, Joe and one other who I didn’t get his name but they were very professional and they hauled butt. Very hard workers. Pat was the team leader and he had a total “can-do” attitude which really put me at ease through the process. We’re a big family of 6 (plus two dogs) moving 5 bedrooms so it was a little stressful. They came in and Wrapped everything which protected all our furniture. Not a scratch or nick in anything. There were a bunch of things we missed or didn’t pack. No problem, they took care of everything. Before I had a chance to unload my full sized deep freezer they had the damn thing wrapped up and in their truck still full of frozen food. Never seen anything like it. I could’ve brought an elephant in and they’d have it wrapped up and snug in their truck. Great moving company.

I used Maffucci Bekins for my Manhattan move 20+ years ago. When I recently needed help with an interstate move, I contacted them. From the first email to the completed move, I was thoroughly happy with every step. Everyone I dealt with was responsive, helpful and polite. The movers were very professional and carefully wrapped all of my furniture in blankets. Everything arrived in perfect condition. I was clear about what was being moved, and the estimate was the same as the final bill. I would not hesitate to recommend Bekins!

Local move took an extremely long time and the bill was nearly 75% above estimate. All was disclosed to them before-hand. I knew one item ended up being very difficult to move, so expected that we'd have to pay more - but not that much more. Their estimate was way off and they blamed me. They said it should have been a 4-person job and the responsibility was for me to complain during the move. I'm not the moving professional.

Said we weren't packed and the movers had to wait (only things we packed when movers were there was bedding that had been slept on, couch pillows, and a few items under the bathroom sink). When I asked what specifically wasn't packed, they couldn't tell me. They also accused me of trying to cheat them and not pay (would never do that). Though the movers were lovely, it seemed that we got 1 experienced mover and 2 who seemed quite inexperienced.

Full disclosure - they did give me $200 off the final bill, but the bill was still $1300 more than estimated. I feel horrible that I chose them, as the move was for my elderly mother. I should have paid more attention to the other 1-star reviews.

First Marlon was wonderful in explaining everything to me and even though i was on a time crunch, he said we could get this move done within my timeframe. Then I spoke with Diane and I liked her straight off the bat. She kept me in the loop and worked hard on getting my stuff cross country. But the people who set my mind at ease completely were John and Paulo. When I realized that they were going to be the ones loading and unloading my belongings I knew everything was going to be ok. Maffucci came up to faraway shoreline CT from Long Island — in monsoon-like blinding rain — on time (!), packed up, and were done unloading before we even got to NYC. They dealt with the paperwork, the parking, and all the headaches of driving in the city. The bill was very close to the estimate. These guys are the top. Couldn’t recommend them more highly.

Let me start by saying that moving is stressful. I think 99% of people will agree with me. I’ve moved many times in my life and for the 1ST TIME EVER (yes, ever!), my move was seamless and easy. There was a team of 4 movers (“Brian and team”) that came over and were professional, polite, communicative, clean, cool and hardworking.

I cannot recommend Maffucci enough for anyone looking to move. I hope to not have to move again for a long time, but if/when we do, we will 1000% be using Maffucci.

Review Maffucci Moving & Storage

The least I can say is Maffucci/Bekins fulfilled its contractual obligation to deliver my furniture and boxes from NYC to my destination in Minneapolis. The move along with two months storage were handled without incident. Most distressing and source of anger was the loss of my wife’s jewelry, both from a financial and sentimental standpoint. I specifically blame Maffucci and its packers for this happening. The jewelry was last seen when Maffucci’s packers dumped it into a box from my wife’s dresser never advising her of the apparent risk. After I reported the loss not once did anyone from Maffucci contact me. After this poor treatment, I don’t plan on including Maffucci Moving & Storage on my list of movers when there is a next time. Even though I filed an insurance claim I don’t expect much financial compensation. My next step will be filing a report with the legal authorities to bring this matter to light.

I used Bekins of Amityville when I relocated from NY to Va a few weeks ago. And I was extremely pleased with the crew of young men who moved me. They were all very professional and respectful. A 40 mile move is as complicated as a 400 mile move. Every part of the journey was as smooth as glass. Bekins Maffucci WAS INCREDIBLE. The fabulous sales person, Marlon, was exacting on calculating the size of the truck and was a pleasure to work with. He is a moving expert. The moving team of 4, led by Franco, were professional, pleasant, respectful, efficient, coordinated, talented, and just amazing! Great care was taken with protecting my white carpeting. Used Maffucci twice! Once for a local move and a second time for a move from the East Coast to West Coast. First point of contact Diane was upfront, honest and thorough explained the process , provided clear understanding of the estimate and what to expect. Because of her I knew I wanted to use them for major move across Country. Diane knew this move would be major and worked closely with me and involved management to provide a clear understanding of what would happen to my shipment from start to finish. I needed reassurance because I had a horrible experience with another company years ago. Maffucci pulled together a team and got their best driver for the job specifically for my shipment . Driving across country East to West in the middle of winter can be treacherous so I had many concerns . The driver John Woughter and partner Paolo were amazing and John reached out to me throughout his trip across country. He gave me an eta and it was precise. He arrived with my belongings along with a beautiful handmade house warming gift. What could have been my worst nightmare (2 lot shipment with multiple end destinations ) went smoothly because of John Woughter and a very well organized and coordinated effort at the time of delivery. Job executed without incident because of my driver John and his LEADERSHIP making sure my belongings were cared for from start to finish!
